Week I -- Dan

Melpomene - Muse of Tragedy

My work explores the relationship between postmodern discourse and midlife subcultures.
With influences as diverse as Wittgenstein and John Lennon, new combinations are generated from both explicit and implicit textures.
Ever since I was a teenager I have been fascinated by the theoretical limits of the human condition. What starts out as vision soon becomes corrupted into a dialectic of power, leaving only a sense of what could have been and the inevitability of a new understanding.
As spatial phenomena become clarified through emergent and critical practice, the viewer is left with an insight into the edges of our condition.

  1. DAN THIS IS THE SHIT
& i appreciate the bullocks you gave to us. very sweet of you.

but seriously, this is AMAZING! the contrast between the woman's face & the face of the sort of triton-like face is incredible. i like how they morph into each other as well. its almost as if she's taking off a mask (like they used masks while performing tragedies back in the day).

boss work, my love. you make me proud.
