Posts 3 and 4

While I initially started to draw this for post 2 (the german one about standing in a wood) time passed and this Micron landscape easily morphed into the water theme. Hope you all like it!

Because I'm a total dork I really enjoyed reading about Elizabeth I when I was younger, so while this isn't exactly a classic "children's book" it's something that makes me recall my childhood.  I still think Elizabeth is a total BAMF and could easily read many more books about her. Of course I could have done lots of others drawings from Tolkien or Lewis or MacDonald, but I just felt like drawing Old Bess. This is watercolour with micron....It's only a coloured sketch though, I didn't spend a huge amount of time with her. Her left arm is completely unnatural so forgive me.

second week // sarah

pena ajena
A wince.
That involuntary twitch of the eye.
The
"I don't want to see this"
movement.
flutter.
Because I don't want to see this.
I don't want to see you
bow your head at the
cursing.
I don't want to see you
accept the hand that bruises your cheecks.
I want to whisper
I want to say
I want to scream

stop it.

pick up your head.
flick the hand away.
Humiliation does not become
either of us.

N°3

although water is common, it is one of the most diverse substances on this planet, seeing as we can witness it in all three states of matter. because both we and the earth are mainly composed of water, it is also most vital. without it, existence would be impossible.

for this week, the topic can be of your choosing as long as you incorporate the element of water into your work.

**just on a side note, new topics will  be posted every other week starting this week so that people will be given more time to create pieces and to use the inspiration to its greatest potential. late-posts are also okay so feel free to take your time.
